Terms of Service

The terms that apply to your use of our website and the freight and logistics services provided by MR STEVEN RICHARD TOPPLE.

Last updated: 1 January 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website steventopple.co and the freight, logistics, warehousing, customs clearance and related services provided by MR STEVEN RICHARD TOPPLE ("we", "us", "our"), a company based at 35 Woodmere, Bracknell, RG12 9QD, United Kingdom.

By using our website, requesting a quote or booking our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services. Each service booking may also be subject to a separate written agreement and standard trading conditions; where there is any conflict, the separate agreement prevails to the extent of the conflict.

2. About our services

We act as freight forwarders and logistics providers, arranging the carriage of goods by road, sea, air and rail, together with related services including warehousing, distribution and customs clearance. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, we act as an agent arranging carriage on your behalf and we are not the carrier of your goods. We select reputable carriers and partners and act with reasonable care and skill, but we do not themselves operate the vessels, aircraft or vehicles that transport your cargo.

3. Quotes and pricing

All quotes are provided free of charge and are valid for the period stated in the quotation (typically 30 days). Quotes are based on the information you provide, including weights, dimensions, route and any special requirements. A quotation does not constitute a contract until confirmed by us and accepted by you in writing (including by email).

  • Prices are quoted in British Pounds (GBP) unless otherwise stated.
  • VAT is added where applicable.
  • We reserve the right to adjust a quote if the actual weight, dimensions, nature of goods or route differ from those provided, or if third-party charges (such as fuel surcharges, port charges, duties or currency fluctuations) change materially before carriage.
  • Any charges shown on this website are indicative estimates only and not a binding price.

4. Bookings and orders

A booking is confirmed when we issue a confirmation or transport documentation to you and you have accepted the applicable terms. You must provide accurate and complete information, including the description, weight, dimensions and value of the goods, collection and delivery addresses, and any dangerous or restricted goods declarations. Inaccurate information may result in delays, additional charges or refusal of the shipment, and may invalidate any insurance cover.

5. Your obligations

You agree to:

  • Provide lawful, accurate and complete information about your goods and shipment.
  • Ensure goods are properly packed and labelled to withstand normal transport, and in compliance with applicable regulations (including dangerous goods rules where relevant).
  • Provide all necessary documentation, licences and permits required for export, import and transit.
  • Ensure you have authority to ship the goods and that the goods are legal to transport to the destination.
  • Pay all amounts due in accordance with these Terms.

6. Prohibited and restricted goods

Certain goods cannot be transported or require special handling and documentation. Prohibited goods include items illegal to transport in the United Kingdom or the destination country, counterfeit goods, and goods prohibited by our carriers. Restricted goods — such as dangerous goods, high-value items, and goods requiring temperature control — must be declared to us in advance. We may refuse to handle any goods that do not meet legal or carrier requirements.

7. Payment terms

Payment terms will be confirmed in writing with each order. Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice (typically 30 days for business customers, or in advance for new and one-off customers). If payment is not made when due, we may suspend services, charge statutory interest, and recover reasonable costs of collection. We may require advance payment for high-value or first-time shipments.

8. Insurance and liability

Carriage of your goods is subject to the liability limitations of the applicable carrier, convention and our standard trading conditions, which may be significantly less than the value of your goods. We recommend that you insure your cargo for its full value. We can arrange cargo insurance on your behalf on request, in which case the terms of the insurer apply. You must declare the true value of goods when arranging insurance. Where we arrange transport for you, we are not liable for the acts, errors or omissions of independent carriers beyond the limits set out in our written agreements and applicable law.

9. Cancellations

You may cancel a booking free of charge before transport services are arranged and any third-party costs are incurred. Once a carrier has been booked or transport has commenced, cancellation is subject to the cancellation and rebooking charges of the carrier, and any fees we reasonably incur, which will be deducted from any refund. See our Refund Policy for full details.

10. Refunds

Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy. In summary, we will refund amounts paid where we fail to provide the agreed service and you are entitled to a refund under law, less any non-refundable third-party costs we have already incurred on your behalf.

11. Intellectual property

The content of this website — including text, graphics, logos, images and software — is the property of MR STEVEN RICHARD TOPPLE or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for your personal use, but you may not reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit our content without our prior written consent.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, and except where we are legally responsible (including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and similar consumer protection legislation):

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill.
  • Our aggregate liability to you in connection with any shipment or the use of our website is limited to the amount paid by you for the relevant service, subject to the liability limits of the applicable carrier or convention, unless a higher limit is agreed in writing.
  • We are not liable for delays, loss or damage caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, adverse weather, port or border closures, strikes, governmental action, pandemics, war, terrorism, or failures of third-party carriers and infrastructure.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against all losses, costs, claims and expenses (including legal fees) arising from any breach by you of these Terms, any inaccurate information you provide, or any unlawful or prohibited goods you ship.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any contract for our services are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, unless you are a consumer living outside England and Wales, in which case you may bring a claim in your local courts where the law permits.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version is always published on this page. Continued use of our website or services after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
